The cute iDol was bon in 8 December, 1993 in Denver, Colorado, United
States of America. Her father
David, an architect and mother Janet, an interior designer. In dance and
gymnastics Roob competed for four and half year, but she quit from there in
order to focus on acting. The Arapahoe Herald reported that she was attending Arapahoe High
School in Centennial, Colorado.
Starting Career.
Roob made
her acting debut in 2004 appearing in a commercial for McDonald’s. In
this episode she had a small roll Number One Fan of the television
series Drake & Josh. The special television episode Samantha: An
American Girl Holiday she took major role as the title character. In this
episode her hair was drayed brown color. Her two big screen appearances in
2005. She started as Opal in Because
of Winn Dixe and as the competitive and rude gum chewer Violet Beauregarde
in Tim Burton’s remake of Charle
and the Chocolate Factory. It was a box office success worldwide and
adding Roob’s popularity. Many co-actors became Roob’s friend including Julia
Winter and Missi Pyle who played the role of her mother in the episode. She requested
that the scene of Violet hugging Wonka in the factory entrance hall be included
in the film.
AnnaSofia Roob was the face of Trade
Clothing, helping to design and model a fashion line for girls in 2005.She
played a guest role on the cartoon show Danny Phantom as the voice of
Danielle Dani Fenton in 2006. In February
16, 2007 she played a role Leslie Burke in Bridge to
Terabitha. A song she recorded for the soundtrack title Keep Your Mind
Wide Open. She received a video on
the Disney Channel. She played in he film and television movie, The Ramping,
Jumper, Have Dreams, will Travel, Spy School, Sleepwalking. She
received critic from Richard Schickel that “There is a wonderful range to Roobs work
this is extraordinary mature acting from someone this young and she wins our
sympathy without once begging for it.” The another film Race to Witch
Mountain played the role as sara was released on March 2009.
The film The Space Between
she played the role as sara with the actress Melissa Leo. The film she started based
on true story Soul Suffer and she played the role as Bethany Hamilton,
who continues to surf after losing her arm in a shark attack. It was reported
that Roob and Aimme Teegarden had landed a role of Life at These Speeds opposite
Douglas Booth in February 2012. It was another announced in the same month that
Roob will play the role of Carrie Bradshaw in The CW’s upcoming Sex and the
City prequel, the Carrie Diaries.

the Horizon Award at the 14th annual Plam Beach International Film

November, 2009 the Rising Star at the Denver Film Festival.
